I recently bought one of the reproduction K98 short side rail scope mounts and I was wondering if the main locking lever was supposed to have tension or resistance as you turned it into the locked position?? The cut out recess in the bottom of the main locking lever properly engages the pin in the scope mount base but it doesn't have any real tension and/or compression so I can easily flip the lever back and forth. Is this normal for short side rail mounts?? The winged screw in the middle of the mount seems to lock the mount to the base very well but it seems like the main locking lever should do more.
Thanks,
Eric
