This is the best mount style for a K98, no doubt, but I have found it is not serviceable for my purposes.
I want to hunt with my K98 and in the hunting days I can have a long shoot position or a short shoot possition. When short shoot position I want to remove the 4x scope, and the high turret mount´s base don´t let me sight very well... The front base is too high. Maybe it don´t bother when shooting to stopped target but yes when this target is run at gallop.
So I´m thinking in change to the SSR mounts whose rail is not a problem to sight with the iron sights if you remove the scope.
Since this mount has a Waffenamt 135, it would be a nice match for a "byf " code Mauser Oberndorf, however you can fit this mount even in a M48 or Predeuzece 44.
Used, but they looks new. All four screws are new unused.
