The steel core bullets will tear up a very good bullet stop that most indoor ranges use. In fact, most indoor ranges won't allow that high velocity round to be shot in their ranges. I'm from old school so I may be wrong on the newer ranges. You do treat the ammo as corrosive don't you? I think that with 8X57Mauser ammo getting hard to find in surplus that you really should get into the reloading for your Mauser...just makes sense.
