Vaughn,
All that 7.62x25 stuff you have is way too hot for your broomhandle. Been there, done that, and did twice before I learned! (Besides, it's damned tough and damned expensive finding and paying for that little piece...the last one bought cost me $35.) FWIW, it's not the frame that cuts loose, but the tiny bolt locking block that shears. (That little "button" looking piece on the upper right-hand side, you know, the one that keeps the bolt and firing pin from flying out of the back of the gun and into your forehead.) If you can find it, the S&B 7.63 Mauser (same dimensions as 7.62x25 Tokarev, but loaded much softer) is the best I've found. Any ComBloc surplus is too hot for the gun. (Be careful, a lot of it has been repacked into commercial packages, in fact, some of it even too hot for a CZ 52...had a friend crack a slide with some Bulgarian? Polish? stuff.) If you can't find the S&B 7.63 Mauser, you may have to roll your own. Wideners and Old Western Scrounger usually carry 7.63 Mauser/7.62x25 Tokarev boxer primed brass. Be careful.
